Review: The film is based on Doris Lessing's The Grandmothers beautiful tale. I just saw the premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and absolutely love it. Supposedly inspired by a true story, which is about two mothers really want the best friend of her son (son best friends) and the tag line is to listen to what you'll be all. Oh, the horror. I imagine a Middle aged male critics especially this film, while gay men probably love. But his movie about women - their friendship, husbands, relationships, sons and lovers. The Directing Anne Fontaine, a French woman (which explains the exorbitant number of scenes with cigarettes, and an anti-American concept can be insane story would attract young people to older women.) EDIT A will beautifully crafted (gorgeous cinematography) and smart (look for corresponding cuts in the old IRA characters). The great performances throughout. Robin Wright is great - oscar excellent performance, however, the film is likely to release will not be big enough to be on the radar of awards (John Hawkes as bad luck not being suitable for Sessions, which was the Academy thinking?) This is a superb all-around film narrative. Brilliant performances, smart direction and smooth, beautiful setting, extremely professional, technical and craft (for most of us, I hope) into new emotional territory. A great movie. I really hope you see it one begins.
